[ waiting for daddy ]

This video was taken about a month ago when Angie was waiting for Daddy to come home from work. She makes me laugh because she is so random! She just started doing this one day, she sounds like she's stuttering only she's doing it on purpose! I realized I hadn't put any videos on our blog yet, so I thought I would finally add one. Hope you enjoy!

[ the little everyday things...]

I thought I would show some pictures of the types of things that keep Angie occupied and entertained throughout the day.

Angie is quite the organizer and perfectionist already. I'm don't where she gets that from? :) Nana let Angie play with her rubber stamps last week, so Angie sat there for almost a half an hour flipping them all over to the back side and making sure they went all the same direction! What a crazy girl! She was just happy as can be with those stamps! Who knew?

Then a few days later Angie was getting bored so I gave her my container full of loose ribbon pieces that I use for cards, hair bows and scrap booking, and she was so excited and thrilled to have something to organize! She just kept putting piece after piece of ribbon over her shoulders and had so much fun! I'm telling you, it's the little things in life! :)

Lastly, Angie has gotten into putting multiple articles of clothing on over top of whatever she's wearing. She kept pulling clothes out of her drawer and gave them to Nana saying, "More Please!" and "Help Please!" I think she ended up with about 7 layers and she thought it was the greatest thing ever! She's such a girly-girl! I think it's safe to say that we can save some money not having to buy toys because she's so enthralled by everything else!

[ it's a beautiful day! ]

Wow, you don't realize how much the sun can lighten your spirits and make everything more enjoyable! Angie had fun playing in her little pool today, I swear that kid would spend every waking moment outside if you let her! It's definitely her favorite place to be! Here are some pictures we took a couple of days ago at the park near my paren'ts house. Angie's favorite thing to do is swing, can you tell? A picture is worth a thousand words, right? All three of us had a lot of fun together, I think the sun brings out the wacky side of us, as you can tell by the pictures! Hope you enjoy! Horray for Sunshine!

[ happy father's day Johnny! ]

Wow, I can't believe how much time has gone by since the day Angie was born! Looking at these pictures, it doesn't seem like she's even the same kid because she's changed so much. It's amazing to see how much she's grown since then and how John and Angie have bonded and become closer over the course of 2 years!

I'm so grateful for the wonderful father that John is... from the changing of many stinky diapers, to sleep-deprived nights and ear-piercing shrieks! Then getting the chance to experience all the firsts... from smiles, her first word "da-da", and first steps to playing together, hugs and most important of all- kisses! I was lucky enough to catch this kiss on camera! John always teases me for taking hundreds of pictures every time I get my camera out, and I keep telling him that most often you have to take multiple pictures to get a good shot! In this case though, I only took one picture and was able to capture the moment perfectly! Horray!

Watching John go through all of these experiences as a father and a husband has made me fall in love with him all over again! You think that you could never love anyone as much as you love your spouse, but when you get that little baby in your arms, it's an unconditional love that is so unexplainable that you couldn't imagine it any other way!

Sorry, I know I'm probably sounding a bit sappy, but I guess when I really stop to think about things, I want to remember the little moments and the small happenings of everyday life to be extraordinary memories and something that I don't take for granted!

Thank you Johnny for being the unbelievable husand and father that you are! For all the little things you do to make our wonderful life worthwhile and meaningful! I love you tremendously and I feel blessed to have you by my side!

So not to forget my own father... here's to you Dad for all your time, energy, hardwork and unconditional love that made me who I am today. I am forever grateful for the person that you are and the person that you've helped me to become. I love you Dad!

Happy Father's Day!

[ new hair, new shoes, new ME! ]

Shoes glorious shoes!
Group effort blowing out the candles!

Here is the "after" haircut picture, not my favorite pic but you get the idea! A beautiful rose from John!
Cutest and most delicious cupcake ever, I had to take a picture!

So for my birthday this past weekend I got a hair cut, highlights (for the first time ever!) and shoes! And if you know me, then you know of my passion for shoes! I got three pair for my birthday- Horray! I think my shoe fetish began when I started working at Famous Footwear back 5 years ago, I got super good deals on shoes and so of course I spent most of my paycheck starting my collection! Let's just say that I haven't stopped my collection! Like I said before, my motto is: "If the shoe fits, buy an outfit to match!"
So, here's a picture of my new kicks, thanks to my friends Natalie and Kira who each bought me a pair for my birthday! And as for my hair, I was really in need of a change and wanted to look more my age now that I'm 25! I had been talking about getting my hair cut ever since we came home and I had also been debating on whether I should get highlights or not, but I finally did it and I love it! Just like everyone else, I'm hooked! My hair looks so much better, although the pictures don't really do it justice!
Needless to say, by the pictures above, you can tell I had a wonderful birthday! My wonderful husband John, my family and friends spoiled me for a day, which was great to know that you're loved on your birthday! Thanks everyone for making it such a fabulous day! I felt like a queen for a day, which is how every girl should feel on her birthday, right?
